This is double the typical story length of other resources in the shop, it is 81 pages long including pre-reading activities, plot map, crossword puzzles, and more.
This is one story split into ten passages of approximately 500 words each. It is roughly at the 810 – 1000 Lexile level. Each passage has 10 questions (8 multiple choice and 2 short answer).
- The multiple-choice questions explore vocabulary, inference, story development, figurative language, author’s purpose, synonyms, and more!
- Short answer questions ask students to explore deeper connections with the text and themselves. There are add-on lesson ideas, growth mindset connections, SEL, and teacher resource ideas.
These passages can be used as weekly or daily reading. Each passage includes vocabulary, figurative language, and much more.
